This Week in the Triad: Sept 8–14, 2026
The second full week of September 2026 is dense across all three Triad anchors, with concerts, baseball, and civic programming from Sept 8 through Sept 14.
Greensboro leads the concert calendar. Sierra Ferrell performs at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, Sept 9. Koe Wetzel, joined by Corey Kent, Bayker Blankenship, and Logan Jahnke, plays the Greensboro Coliseum on Friday, Sept 11. Who's Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience plays the Coliseum Complex the same night.
High Point holds two notable events in the window. The High Point Rockers baseball team faces the Charleston Dirty Birds on Wednesday, Sept 9, and Lonestar performs in concert at High Point Theatre on Friday, Sept 11.
Smaller community and family programming rounds out the week. Ordinary Elephant plays an acoustic set in Greensboro on Sept 9, and the Voices Unbound Youth Performing Arts Program holds a virtual open house the same day. In Kernersville, the chamber's Shopping for Education 2026 fundraiser runs Tuesday, Sept 8.
On Thursday, Sept 11, Greensboro holds its 9/11 Memorial Event, the city's commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
