Nature Immersion Forest Bathing: Nature Through Mindful Engagement Laura Coffee, certified Forest Therapy Guide, invites you to step into the serene world of Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese practice of "forest bathing," where you engage your senses to forge a deeper connection with nature. Join Laura on one of the monthly sessions below: Sunday, July 31, 6-8 pm - Bill Craft Trail. Meet at trailhead near 646 Simpson Calhoun Rd. at the trailhead in the parking lot. Saturday, August 22, 10 am to 12 noon - Gateway Gardens, 2800 E. Gate City Blvd. Meet outside the restrooms at the Visitors Center. Saturday, September 12, 10 am to 12 noon - Bog Garde, 1101 Hobbs Rd. Meet at the Dr. Joe Statue near the Starmount Farms Dr. entrance. Sunday, October 25, 2-4 pm - Summerfield Community Park, 5404 Centerfield Rd. Meet at the flagpole near the community center. Sunday, November 29, 2-4 pm - Haw River State Park, Iron Ore access, 6068 N. Church St. Meet at the restrooms in the parking lot. Saturday, December 19, 10 am to 12 noon - Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, 2332 New Garden Rd. Meet at the Nathanael Greene Statue. Additional information: Registration not required. Completion of Active Adults health form is required on day of session. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring water, hiking poles, sunscreen, and bug spray, if needed.
