North Carolina Folk Festival Returns to Downtown Greensboro
The North Carolina Folk Festival returns to downtown Greensboro for its 2026 run, with the festival opening on Friday, Sept 18 and continuing across the Sept 18–20 weekend. The Greensboro CVB event calendar lists the festival for Sept 18 and the family-focused ArtQuest programming for Sept 19 on the festival grounds.
Two official after-parties round out the evenings at The Move in downtown Greensboro: FOLKKNOT plays on the festival's opening night (10pm–2am), and Del Ward & The Leftovers with The Tremors close out the weekend's late-night lineup the following night.
The festival anchors Greensboro's late-September cultural calendar, bringing folk music, dance, and craft programming to the center city each fall.
