UNCSA fall season: recitals, orchestras, dance, and the Nutcracker
The University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem opens its fall performance season this month. The Stevens Center stays closed for renovation, so performances move across Winston-Salem venues.
Violist Brett Deubner performs in recital at Watson Hall on Saturday, Sep 12. Piano Fridays continues with Priscilla Navarro on Friday, Sep 18. The UNCSA Symphony Orchestra plays Brendle Recital Hall on the Wake Forest University campus Saturday, Sep 19, and the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds present Cuentista! on Sunday, Sep 20.
Fall Dance runs Sep 29 through Oct 3 at the Agnes de Mille Theatre. The School of Filmmaking Symposium runs Aug 28 through Nov 20 at the ACE Main Theatre.
The season's headline production is the Nutcracker, presented at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Dec 3.
